Hi, my name is Emily and I am the founder of Koda's Legacy Foundation.  I started this foundation as a way to honor Koda, who lost his battle with osteosarcoma in December 2025.

Koda was my soul dog, my best friend. He was a constant source of comfort, joy and safety in my life and losing him changed me in a way I don't think I'll ever be able to fully put in to words. To know Koda was to love him.

During his battle with cancer, I saw both how much love exists in that experience and how heavy it can be, emotionally, physically and financially. We were fortunate in ways many families aren't and that's something that has stayed with me.

Koda's Legacy Foundation was created from that place. Not just from loss, but from the love he gave so freely. My hope is that through this foundation, other families can have more time, more comfort and more support when they need it most.

For me, this foundation is more than just a nonprofit, its a way to carry Koda's love and spirit forward by helping other dogs and the people who love them.
